About This Blog

Writing the ‘About’ page has always been awkward for me. Privacy to me is like water to a fish, hehe.  But here I am, having a social presence. Its not much but its out here for all to see.

My name is Sara Aman and I started The Lens Project, a photography business in late 2009. It was my way of saying “I can do this” after working for 9 years in a commercial photography studio. The Lens Project is a work in progress. Just like me.

We are exploring so many things right now. Business not being my forte, its challenging. Because all I want to do is photograph. That is my passion. But I get to grow and learn new things along the way. Not necessarily easy or pleasant all the time, naturally. But it has been an adventure. And I want to start documenting my journey here. I’m not a ‘writing’ sort of person. I suck at words. But hey, nobody promised it was going to be easy. But it will be worth the time spent documenting and sharing it. And maybe.. just maybe, someone out there can benefit from my sharing even if its in the tiniest way.

My favourite quote and one I’m trying to live by:

” To laugh often and love much;
to win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children,
to earn the appreciation of honest critics and endure the betrayal of false friends;
to appreciate beauty, to find the best in others;
to leave the world a bit better, whether by a healthy child, a garden patch or a redeemed social condition;
to have played and laughed with enthusiasm and sung with exultation;
to know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived.

This is to have succeeded.”

– Ralph Waldo Emerson

So, thank you for reading and being here. I hope you will drop by often to just have a peek at what I’m up to. If you have questions or comments, please just drop me a note at barofchoc@hotmail.com.

With warmth and gratitude,

Sara Aman.
